Hi,
I have a TomTomGO, when trying to use the car charger with the connection on the back of the car mount - I get no power light on the TomTom. However, if I connect directly to the TomTom I get a power light. Has anyone else experienced this?

I only got this when I was testing the early engineering samples last year. The problem was that I was not seating the GO properly in the mount when getting in the car. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to get it inserted correctly. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Mike,
I have tried a number of times to re-seat the GO with no success, I have now contacted TomTom via the website to see if they have any suggestions. I don't really want to have to return the unit to the reseller (leading high street store), as it could be gone for weeks. What I will do is try my brother-in-laws (350 miles away- but TTG gets me there!) base to see if it works.

Is there a fuse inside the car charger? I'm not sure, but take a look. Also, have you tried the car charger in another car? Does any other equipment work through the cigarette lighter socket? (Phone charger, etc)? |
