The safety camera software is a free add on to membership and as is not a commercially guaranteed product. For both the database and the site we offer community support and help only. That said, most questions are answered within 24 hours.
The Speed Camera Warning Database supplied to you under the terms of the subscription is Copyright PocketGPSWorld.com (for the whole or a part of), all rights reserved Worldwide.
Your subscription allows you to use the Speed Camera Warning Database on supported devices owned by you or members of your immediate family who live at the same address up to a maximum of four devices.
You may not copy, share or disseminate the data to other parties other than those as permitted by our subscription terms.
A number of fluid, changeable methods are in place that allow us to easily identify copied versions of the Speed Camera Warning Database. All individual downloads and batches of the Speed Camera Warning Database can be identified both to a particular download and member.
If we discover you have breached any of these terms the remainder of your subscription may be forfeited and your membership of our web-site terminated at our discretion.

Is the Speed Camera Warnings Software Legal?
Absolutely, yes! The Road Safety Bill 2005 states that passive detection of speed cameras "compliment the Government's policy to ensure that camera sites are visible and conspicuous to drivers". The official Government line is that most fixed cameras are installed at accident 'black spots' where four or more serious road accidents have occurred over a three year period. It is the joint policy of both the UK Department for Transport and the police to make the locations of these cameras as well known as possible. The Speed Camera Database (which also includes traffic light camera warnings) adds to this process by helping you to identify the places where extra care should be taken.
Not only do we receive additions and modifications from police forces, camera installation teams and camera planners but we also know many police officers use our database. Police Officers are often treated more harshly when caught, especially by their superiors, so it is in their interest to be extra careful!
In a survey of young drivers (source: fmg.org.uk), respondents perceived 'lack of attention' to be the most likely reason for a serious accident. 'Going too fast' came second. The Database aims to help with both.
Supported Products
The PocketGPSWorld.com Safety Camera Database can be used within several different applications either for alerting of speed and red light cameras, or just to display their positions. Any other application that either doesn't accept customisable POIs as a CSV import or offer any third party hooks to allow developers to write plug-ins to warn you of cameras will not be able to support the database.

* S-Series has a 12,000 POI Limit. You cannot therefore use our Camera Database in it's entirety without exceeding this limit. S-Series owners can still use the database subject to ommitting the mobiles portion of the database or alternatively if using Navman's database you could supplement it by adding our mobile coverage (Navman do not have Mobile cameras).
VERY IMPORTANT: Your questions will be more efficiently responded to in the forums, after all, that is what they are there for! Remember, an individual email or private message (PM) to one team member is less likely to be responded to quicker than a forum post which all of our team members and the site community have the opportunity of seeing and responding to. For instance, that individual could be on holiday or on a business trip. Never be frightened to post what you might think is a 'silly' question - we were all new to this ourselves once :)
