Hi Guys,
I have a 'X' Reg 2001 Zafira and whilst I don't think it has a reflecting windscreen my TTGO keeps losing the signla or takes upto 10 mins to find a signal..
Can anybody suggest what is going wrong here?

If you hold it outside the car, how long does it take to lock on to a signal?
If it's a lot quicker, try placing it in a different position in the car, and see if it improves. _________________ Richard

Hummmm. After a rather rainy trip from Halifax to Coventry and back, my relatively new antenna has died on me, with NO satellites fixing at all with the Go on the mount, and 3-4 off the mount. As far as i can see all of the connections are intact and i've not done anything to damage the wire particularly. Anyone else had any problems in the current bad weather? I suppose i should fix it inside the car if it is not as weatherproof as claimed, which will no doubt lose me the wonderful 8+ satellites at full strength I enjoy when it is working. |

Is there a product review for this item? What is the Pocket GPS view of it? _________________ Life's a bitch... then I met Jane... |

Sorry about the poor pic but this is the result of adding an ext antenna (which is sitting on the front seat of the car not even mounted!) Incredible difference and it stays like that from within 30 secs of turning on...

I work in the city of London and drive my car around tall buildings. My TTG also loses its connection and wanders around aimlessly, hence in return I wander aimlessly.
Will getting the antenna address to my issue of driving around tall buildings or is it just for specific car users?
Secondly, does anyone know if this antenna will work on the new GO hardware range, 300, 500 and 700?
Thirdly, a bit off topic, but does anyone know how many addresses can we save in our favourites folder on our TTG please?
Thanks. |

I can only say that the ext antenna completely cured my spinning map and no signal problems particularly in London. The difference is incredible:
1. almost instantaneous satelite lock from switch on
2. almost all locked satelites at 100% signal strength
3. never seen it at less than 4 bars and usually 5 bars for 90% of the time
4. never lose a signal in town or under bridges _________________ Life's a bitch... then I met Jane... |

Nice. Thanks for that buddy.
Which is the cheapest place to buy this antenna then?
Any idea about my other two queries?
Thanks,
Hads. |

Pretty sure it won't work with the new TTG's.
Cheapest I've seen was Amazon (where I got mine) £45.99 _________________ Life's a bitch... then I met Jane... |

I was thinking of buying one of the new range GO fairly soon, provided whenever they are released. No news spending £50 on this then?
