To return to previous state I need -
Alternative GPS start - 'ticked'
&
Use network location - 'ticked'
in Advanced Settings.
That is what you mean - correct?
If so then sorry but that does not help -
Still no camera icon, no location, no GPS icon on task bar! |

you don't need "Use network location" . Only "Alternate location"
You will have to exit the app and restart it for the setting to "take". _________________ Lutz

so you enabled "Alternative start" . You exited the program, and started it again. You pressed the GPS lock button. Right? _________________ Lutz

I did the first two but not the GPS lock button - I am unaware of just what you mean by that?
Please would you clarify. |

Hi again,
I see what you mean now.
It looks as though it is OK now.
I did not need to do that before, by default it started like that. |

You only need to do it once. Unless you want to edit cameras that are not close to the GPS position. _________________ Lutz

Many Thanks, I think you can mark this one down as being successfully fixed now.
I've been running the app quite happily on my Galaxy Portal for a little while and not found any more issues with the GPS lock.
Many thanks for all your great efforts in finding the answers to the problem
Cheers
