|
|
Hi,
I just got Memory Map and I am playing around with exporting the maps to my Pocket PC. I have found it okay but I have a slight problem.
I have worked out how to merge two maps on the PC and what I would like to do is send a selection of these two maps to the Pocket PC (This is to save some space on my memory card as the two maps are 600mb in total).
I understand that I can send the portion which is shown in the window, but the whole are I want is biggar than that.
Any ideas? |

Hi,
I simply created two smaller portions of map by selecting them on the PC and saving them as new maps on the PC. I then sent both maps to the Pocket PC and Memory Map automatically switches between them when tracking in GPS mode.

I though you meant that you had found a way of sending a portion larger than seen on screen, still that will work but when browsing the double click (tap on the PPC) doesn't work, have to use the tap & hold then select from menu to flip to second portion.
Did you know that by resizing the MM window on the Pc you can send long thin sections if, for instance, you require the area to cover the length of Hadrians Wall but with only a small area each side?
Thanks for the reply. _________________ If riding in a plane is flying then riding in a boat is swimming. If you want to experience the feeling

Additional to the above.
It you want to send a portion of the map larger than you can normally see but smaller than the complete map try this.
Addjust the screen display to it's highest posible setting (mine is 1600 x 1200), at this setting everything is too small to see comfortably but you will be able to adjust the size if the MM window (zoomed out to max) to display a more larger area. Send visible portion to the pda as normal then adjust screen to it's normal setting. _________________ If riding in a plane is flying then riding in a boat is swimming.
