Problems with TomTom Gps 206 Update

Due to my stupidity in letting my Pocket PC lose all its power I had to reinstall Tom TOM, no problem there and I reinstalled the 2.24 upgrade. I then tried tried to reinstall the GPS 206 upgrade and received the following message on my Pocket pc. "\windows\ttgpseng.exe is in use or is in ROM if the file is not in ROM please close the application using the file." As I exited Tom Tom before trying to load the updates I do not know where to go now. Any help would be appreciated.

make sure the TomTom GPS is not in \\windows\startup (use a file manager to find out) and then do a soft reset before trying to install 2.06
