I've just installed v3.2 onto with TTN v2.4 and while it loads, verifies me and has allowed me to download the overlays, when I do a sync I keep getting "An unknown error" has occured".
I see from CheckPoints web-site that this is due to some communications error or that the website/database is very busy and to retry. I've been retrying all day to no avail.
The reason why this is a problem is that while I can enable the "Detect POI's from this overlay" in the Overlay Settings/Properties page, and OK the changes, it never remembers the setting - so I'm assuming it is because I haven't been able to sync my local copy. Any idea's?

I'm a little surprised at the overlay settings not persisting, because I believe even CheckPOInt 3 puts those settings in the Registry.
If you really want CheckPOInt 3.2, maybe the right way ahead is to uninstall it and delete the folder in My Documents (I can't remember precisely what it's called, but it has CheckPOInt in the name if I remember rightly). Reinstall, and try to synchronise again.
Alternatively, if you just want to use the PocketGPS database, I suggest instead that you uninstall CheckPOInt 3.2 from both the Pocket PC and ActiveSync (select CheckPOInt and press the Remove button in ActiveSync's Add/Remove Programs), remove the folder from My Documents (as described previously), then download CheckPOInt 2.0.2 from this site's Downloads area. I believe it works much better with the PocketGPS database than version 3 does, particularly when it comes to submitting changes and new cameras, though you do lose the 'arrow' functionality.
