HP iPAQ H1910 GPS Connection

Is there a GPS available that will connect to the HP iPAQ H1910 Pocket PC?

Sorry, no, the 1910 doesn't have a proper Serial port and converting from USB to Serial won't work. The only option is to upgrade to the 1940 which has Bluetooth support and use a Bluetooth GPS Receiver.

The only way to connect a GPS to a 1910 would be some kind of adapter that turned the infrared port into a serial port. USB won't work as the 1910's USB port is client only. There's no serial port, and no SDIO support.



As Dave says, the 1910 has now been replaced by the 1940 which has Bluetooth (and will therefore work with a Bluetooth GPS). Considering that the 1910 is now either discontinued or about to be discontinued, I can't see anyone developing the infrared adapter I theorised about a moment ago.





Unfortunately the original poster bought the only Pocket PC to which it's essentially impossible to connect a GPS. Maybe he can sell the 1910 (eBay?) and buy something else.
