I also don't understand why people keep slating the 6515?? i understand why people don't like the extra need to update the QGPS files but to be honest the QGPS chipset is an advancement.

To be so small in form factor and to have all the functions that the PDA has is a feat in itself. I guess what people are complaining about is the apparent complexity..but tbh if you play with gadgets you will soon get to grips with it.

I bought my 6515 about 3 weeks after it's release and i have been very very impressed with it. The gps has caused me no problems and there is no issue with turns etc. What maybe of interest is to update the QGPS to 2.03 (it came with 1.12 as standard), just do a search for globallocate 2.03. I have ran test with Visualgpsce and the number of satellites found and tracked is similar to other gps systems.

sometimes Tomtom does loose the plot but a simple exit from Tomtom and a replot of the route sorts it out.

I do agree that some people may have received a dodgy system...but in the majority i suspect that the user just doesn't understand the process by which the Qgps works.

So what i can suggest is
1) update to tomtom 5.21
2) try to download the latest Qgps firmware 2.03 and download the updated data.
3) do a soft reset and see how things go.

I run my 6515 with a vodafone data sim card, i don't always have my QGPS updated, when i need to use it as a navigation aid i simply download the updated data via vodafone GPRS if I am out and about and i go from there.

All in all a stunning machine for my needs..no trailing wires..no pairing issues and navigation is spot on...although i have to say you do need to be a bit tech savy to get it set up initially.

Alnug> Where did you get the 2.03 firmware from? Tried searching all over but cannot find it. Any assistance you can give would be much appreciated.
