TTN5 & Dell Axim X5 Sound Settings

Still looking for help with problem highlighted in previous post:

Done more research into original TTN2 documents (in attic !) and found a note with the TTN2 boxes which states "always start TTN2 software before connecting Dell Axim X5 to GPS/Cradle"

Could this be the reason TTN5 mutes the sound settings on the X5 if I try to start the application with the X5 in the cradle or try to navigate after a break in my journey with the X5 still in the mount?

Grateful for any thoughts or advice from X5 / TTN5 users

I have just noticed your post. I am experiencing exactly the same problem - also on an X5 Dell with a CF GPS. Do you have any more info on a solution yet?

I have not found out any more than stated in my previous post except to confirm my suspicions regarding the link to TT2. Although it is not ideal the TT2 recommendation to :"always start TTN2 software before connecting Dell Axim X5 to GPS/Cradle" does seem to work (most of the time?). I have a journey to do at the weekend so will tet once again !
