I have TTM5 with postcodes but it seems not to work. I have looked at the file and it is sitting in the GB Map folder, not the directory where I thought it should be. It seems my mate, who was looking at my phone may have moved it accidently. Where is it supposed to be as I cannot get past the original 5 digits? (I have a directory called "post codes" as well, which I don't know if this is the corrrect location - just wait till I have a quiet word with my mate!)

I think the file is 'Great_Britain.Postal' and it should be in the 'Zip' folder ie.
E:\Zip\Great_Britain.Postal

Bazza

MAGIC - I could kiss you (but I won't).. I thought that directory held zip files and Nokia created for their own benefit on the MMC cards. Thanks!

Make sure that the TomTom directory also exists (mine contained a .chk file) as well as the map folder. (oh and buy the way it only works on Version 5)!

Are you sure that you dont need to have version 5 Tom Tom to be able to use the 7 digit postcode?

I have heard nor seen any thing to the contary.

I think you will need TTM5 to make it work. Go users had to upgrade from 4.4 to 5 to get it, as did TTN3 and TTN 4.4 (HP Navigation).

Regards

err, It comes with all the version 5 software if you have the GB Maps.

No offence here, but it should be on the Memory card supplied or on the CD. If not, you either do not have version 5 or your software was incorrectly shipped. I suggest you contact TomTom immediately if you have TTM5 and ask them where it is?
Or go back to the guy who shipped the copy you have from ebay and ask for your money back! :D

Supered, my apologies, you have no location in your details, I assumed you were UK..
