BR303 USB GPS sensor - problems installing on PC (Newbie!)

Hi,

I am a newbie and have just bought a BR303 USB GPS sensor and am having problems getting it going.

I have installed the driver and software (prolific serial to usb and GPS Info) yet when I try to get it to work under GPS Info all that I get is "no device" on each and every Comm port I search. The red light is ON on the GPS sensor when it is plugged it in - it never changes from this ON state. I have tried it on 2 laptops and I get the same results on each one.

I am running Windows XP pro and the USB port is USB 2.0. Does anyone have any ideas or do I have a faulty unit please??

If I can get it working I am hoping to use it with Microsoft Autoroute 2000 (which I have) or 2004 (which is coming). Does anyone know if the BR303 will work with this please.
