|
|
I recently purchased and installed Navigator on my Palm T3. I was previously using an old Garmin Streetpilot (monochrome), so I'm not a complete newbie to this. I do like having GPS capability anywhere, as I have the bluetooth GPS receiver and have my T3 most everywhere I go.
I have the West map (California, U.S.) installed, and I'm trying to plan a trip coming up. So I have a couple questions....
- Can I save routes that have been setup? I don't see that ability.
- When planning an A->B trip, I was starting in CA. My destination was to be a Scottsdale, AZ hotel. But when I select the hotel destination POI, I'm only shown hotels local to my start point, and I don't seem to have the option of selecting a POI from another state. Is it possible to do this?
And I hope TomTom will update Navigator to be able to create routes on the PC, and then save them to the handheld for future use - aka Garmin. Thanks in advance for any info or help with this! :D |

I do not think this can be done.

I am assuming you do have Origin and Destination in same Map which is required (Major Roads map may not have all the POI's). You would need to use Map browser place cursor at destination and use cursor find POI near by. Add That as favorite or something and then use it in A->B trip.
I agree there should be an easier way of finding POI relative to a location. I am not aware of any other. |

Thanks - I didn't think of adding the destination POI as a favorite, but that will work. |
